Robots, Drones and Security
This lecture will be taking place on the 7th April 2018 at the Tsinghua University. The main goal of this lecture is to explore opportunities for commercial exploitation of advancements in robotics and drone technology in the field of security guarding.
In our Robots and Drones in Security presentation, you will find out how drones and robots can be used to complement the conventional security provision.
We have witnessed how far technology has evolved. From advances in communication and signal processing to space exploration and genetic engineering, the road to invention and discovery can be attributed to human quest for unknown.
One of the aims of security deployment is to protect life and property. In a public space, the level of perceived threat is amplified due to the uncertainties involved. Public protection in such an environment not only relies on corrective but preventive actions also.
Our Robots and Drones in Security presentation will cover the preventive strategies count on deterrence and surveillance protocol designed on intelligence, and response mechanism. Trained human operatives have traditionally been integral to such strategies but this is becoming increasingly untenable due to complexity of surveillance environment and growing security threats. The limitations of the conventional setup are thus leading a shift from field-based human presence to technology based intelligent solutions. It is therefore increasingly imperative to exploit the advancements already made in the area of robotics and drone technology for the security industry.
The main aim of this lecture is to explore opportunities for commercial exploitation of advancements in robotics and drone technology in the field of security guarding. At Novus Altair, we are engaged in research and development in partnership with leading institutions like Tianjin University and Tsinghua University in China and Kings College London forging the way to innovative and high-tech security solutions. As part of the collaborations, we will be working on robots and drones in the context of public safety and global security challenges.
